FIGT (Families in Global Transition) has been referred to as the grassroots “think tank” for international professionals and families who relocate globally. For more than 10 years FIGT has promoted the positive value of the international experience by empowering the family unit and those who serve them before, during and after international transitions.
The mission of the FIGT UK Affiliate is to build a local UK network across all sectors to provide a forum of exchange on issues relevant to globally mobile professionals, families and students, by connecting this international community with the local service providers and relevant professionals who support them.
Oxford is the centre for FIGT UK because of the growing international, commercial, educational and diplomatic communities in the area.
FIGT UK recognises the challenges of relocation and aims to provide relevant research, support, education and sharing of best practice, by organising events and discussion forums on all issues of global mobility, cultural transition and relocation.
