We are looking for Board members who believe in our mission and are willing to be active change-makers, thought-leaders and advocates in the globally mobile space. We believe that our work has never been more important than it is today! We are looking for members whose experience and involvement in the community would be an asset to our organization and we hope that you will consider joining us.

What is the FIGT Board of Directors?

FIGT’s Board of Directors is responsible for both the execution and governance of FIGT’s mission and strategy. It is a working Board - not only an advisory one - and it is composed of volunteer Board members elected for 2-year terms amongst FIGT members. All Board Directors and committee members are voluntary positions.

    What are the requirements to apply for a Director position?
    • Must be an FIGT member
    • Must have:
    • Attended an FIGT Annual conference
    • OR been an active FIGT volunteer for any length of time
    • Ability to commit to 25+ hours every month of volunteer work for a Board position role.
    • Attend the monthly virtual General Board Meetings
    • Attend the 2023 and 2024 FIGT Conferences, including the Board meetings which take place the day before and the day after the conference
    • Prior experience managing cross-cultural teams in diverse locations
    • Prior experience working online using collaborative platforms such as Google Drive, Zoom, WhatsApp and Doodle
    • Readiness to learn new online platforms if required.
    • Available for on-boarding training during August and September 2022

    How will the Nominations Process work?

    The deadline to submit your application closed May 13, 2022.

    All applications will be reviewed by the 2022 Nominations Committee who will shortlist candidates for interviews.

    The Nominations Committee will present its final nominees slate to the Board in early July 2022.

    Post Board approval, the final candidate slate will be presented to members in late July 2022.

    After member approval, the on-boarding process for incoming Board Members will take place during August and September 2022.

    The new term officially begins on October 1, 2022.
