Our Membership Strategy

For 20 years people from around the world have been gathering, sharing, discussing, researching, developing and implementing thoughts, ideas and policies regarding global mobility - and the people who have lived, and are living as global citizens. This has all been happening because of, and within, the Families in Global Transition network. A grassroots organization which has evolved into a global platform, entirely run and managed by many dedicated individuals.

An exciting new development took place at FIGT’s annual conference in 2018. The announcement of a new membership strategy which will further extend what we, as a community, know and do. By lowering fees, creating new levels and introducing a new, publicly available feature on the website, FIGT is poised to grow its membership base, diversify its membership even more and spread its wings further. All, in fulfilment of its mission to be ‘a welcoming forum for globally mobile individuals, families, and those working with them. Where, together, we promote cross-sector connections for sharing research and developing best practices that support the growth, success and well-being of people crossing cultures around the world.’

Would YOU like to be a part of that mission?

  • Invest in a network to help others?
  • Access the resources at our disposal?
  • Network with peers?
  • Be able to find support or like-minded individuals close to where you live?
  • Learn from; share with and connect with others like you?

Then consider this an invitation to support FIGT, and be a part of the community creating, connecting and collaborating in the field..

For those interested in supporting FIGT further, we have Sponsorship options which may be of greater interest to you. Kindly contact our Sponsorship Chair to explore these possibilities at sponsorship@figt.org.
