The 2018 conference theme was:

Diverse voices celebrating the past, present, and future of globally mobile lives

#FIGT18NL told the story of the past 20 years of growth in our understanding of globally mobile lives. FIGT continues to encourage tolerance and celebrates the diversity of our growing community.

We invited globally mobile individuals, those who sponsor and those who support them, as well as dedicated researchers to share perspectives on challenges and solutions related to a globally mobile lifestyle.

The 2018 conference continued to build bridges as expressed in our mission statement:

“a welcoming forum for globally mobile individuals, families, and those working with them. Our mission is to promote cross-sector connections for sharing research and developing best practices that support the growth, success, and well-being of people crossing cultures around the world.”
