Myra Dumapias

Myra Dumapias, MSW – is a second generation Foreign Service brat and transnational Pinay who grew up in China, Malaysia, Philippines, Germany, the U.S., Romania and S. Korea.  She has been serving TCKs since 2010 as Executive DIrector of TCKidNOW (Formerly TCKid: A Home for Third Cutlure Kids). Her father, as career diplomat, and her mother as supportive spouse, served the Philippine Foreign Service. Her third generation TCK son lives in Bahrain and the US. She planted her early community organizing roots in what is now known as Historic Filipinotown, and served World War II Filipino Veterans and the historical case of the El Monte trafficked women in Los Angeles.  From Texas, she works at the Pilipino Workers Center of Southern California and she has started AAPIs for Justice and also the San Antonio chapter of Filipino American National Historical Society.
