It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Judy Rickatson, a beloved member of the Families in Global Transition community and a person whose impact on FIGT will be felt for years to come.
For many years, Judy served as FIGT's Operations Lead in a volunteer capacity, giving generously of her time, energy, and expertise to support the organization behind the scenes. During important moments in FIGT's history, including times of transition and uncertainty, Judy was one of the people who helped steady the ship. Her commitment to the community, her reliability, and her unwavering belief in FIGT's mission helped ensure that this organization continued to grow and serve globally mobile individuals and families around the world.
Many of us will remember Judy's warm smile, welcoming presence, and genuine interest in others. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen, valued, and at home. For those of us who had the privilege of knowing her, Judy embodied the very spirit of community that FIGT strives to create.
Her legacy lives on not only in the countless hours she dedicated to FIGT, but also in the connections she fostered, the people she encouraged, and the community she helped sustain.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Kaye, her family, and all those whose lives were touched by her kindness and generosity.
On behalf of FIGT and its Board members.
Yours sincerely,
Flor García
