Workshop Description:

The Transitioning Successfully for University Training of Trainers Program is a one and a half-day workshop for anyone working with adolescent third culture kids, cross-cultural kids and international students and their families, whether they are making the college/university transition or repatriating to their home country while still in secondary school. Participants come away with all the materials needed to formulate their own workshops on university transition, the transition experience, third culture kids and cross-cultural kids profiles and more. Includes National Board for Certified Counselors and ACSI professional development credits.

The registration fee includes basic package materials:

  • A complete trainer’s manual
  • Complete power point presentation with copyright license
  • Student worksheets
  • Sample training outlines
  • Continuing education credits

For an additional charge of $200 USD, participants can opt to purchase the deluxe package of materials which includes the items above plus:

  • A copy of The Global Nomad’s Guide to University Transition
  • The Road Home Educational DVD (a $100 value)
  • A set of 100 photo reflection cards (a $149 value)
  • Training game materials
  • Third Culture Person Reacculturation Rubric

About the Facilitator:

Tina Quick, author of The Global Nomad’s Guide to University Transition is an adult Third Culture Kid (ATCK) who raised her own TCKs across four cultures and continents. She is a cross-cultural trainer, writer and international speaker. Tina works closely with colleges and universities, domestic and international schools.

FIGT has reserved a block of rooms at the nearby Courtyard Silver Spring Downtown for $199.00 USD per night for March 19-20, 2013 in addition to a room block for the nights of March 21-23, 2013 for $139.00 USD per night (excluding local and state taxes). Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your conference registration you must do so prior to March 13, 2013. There will be a $50 cancellation fee. After March 13, FIGT is unable to refund any registration fees. If you are unable to attend the conference and would like to transfer your registration to another attendee, there will be a $50 administrative fee to complete that transaction.
