Virtual Coffee with Carolyn Parse Rizzo

We are happy to share that we will host next week at our coffee session a dear member of our community, Carolyn Parse Rizzo. We are supporting our community during this hard times and Carolyn’s knowledge couldn’t be more relevant.
Carolyn Parse Rizzo is an ICF-Certified Coach and Certified Child Life Specialist based in Northern Italy. With roots in school counseling, pediatric healthcare, and victim advocacy, she’s spent over 30 years learning and teaching about how to avoid, live with, and embrace stress, particularly that related to health and medical challenges. She provides individual coaching and psychosocial consultation for healthcare professionals, educators, and parents.
Carolyn will be talking about the four coping styles and how to minimize the perception of threat when talking to children and teens about the pandemic. She’ll discuss psychological preparation, stress assessment in children, coping strategies around isolation and separation, relaxation and distraction techniques and childhood bereavement and anything else we would like to ask her as a specialist who is currently living in Northern Italy.
