We ask that conference attendees refrain from promoting their businesses, books, or courses in the bookstore and conference venue unless they have entered into an official agreement with FIGT.

One of the hallmarks of FIGT's annual conference is that it is a welcoming, inviting space that encourages conversation, collegiality, and connection. To remain so, it is paramount that the conference is not a series of sales pitches, no matter how well intended. Given that many attendees are providers of services, authors of books or training materials, etc, we understand that our attendees might wish to share news of their accomplishments. And they can do this - through face-to-face networking. We encourage registrants to meet and greet their fellow attendees, get to know each other and their interests, and exchange contact info to stay in touch. (So bring your business cards!)

Membership in FIGT does afford certain privileges. Did you know that corporate and small business members may submit a limited number of Member News announcements for the website, which are then promoted through our social media and newsletter? We've even provided a way for members unable to attend to connect through a Membership Notice Board.

Our sponsors partner with FIGT by investing at a significantly higher level, and so enjoy additional privileges (eg at the annual conference, they each have a table on which to showcase their services). We are incredibly fortunate to attract and retain sponsors - members themselves - who understand and support FIGT in focusing on keeping the conference a pressure-free, connection-focused atmosphere.

FIGT runs on the dedicated work of our members who volunteer hundreds and hundreds of hours of their time and talents. We are financed entirely by membership dues, sponsorship of our organization, and proceeds from the bookstore and annual conference.

It is important that we respect the arrangements that guide our sponsors, members, and conference bookstore. If you would like more information on membership or sponsorship, just click on the relevant link.
